Teaching Philosophy
In my classroom, I want to create a space where students feel confident exploring, experimenting, and discovering what art can be. I believe art is not only a form of personal expression but also a way to connect with others and the world around us.
I value connecting learning to students lives and communities. I encourage them to draw inspiration from local places, people, and cultural traditions, allowing their work to reflect both personal and collective experiences. Through this approach, students can see art as a living practice one that is relevant, meaningful, and rooted in their own environment.
I also emphasize process over product. By experimenting with diverse materials and techniques, students develop problem-solving skills and confidence in their own creative voices. My role as a teacher is to guide, support, and challenge them, fostering an inclusive classroom where every student feels their perspective is valued.
